Difference between Telephone and Mobile phone

Telephone and mobile are very familiar to all of us. There are many differences between them, but there is only one common use-Calling. Do you know how they work?

"I will give you a call", we often say to our friends, but we rarely wonder how it is that, only a few seconds after entering a number on keypad, we can be speaking to a friend many kilometers away-even on other side of the world. A Telephone is a device that transforms a person's voice into an electrical signal made up of varying electric currents. This signal travels along copper cables to reach its destination. Sometimes, it is changed into pulses of light and sent along thin glass stands called optical fibers. The signal can also be transmitted as radio waves or microwaves.

Mobile phone allow the freedom to make calls from almost any where because they are not physically connected to the Telephone Network. They send and receive calls as radio wave signals. Mobile phone Technology is fast evolving so that the hand-held devices can now also send text messages, e-mails, video calls, as well as connect to the Internet.

The number of Telephones in the world is getting reduced. Most of the people are depending on mobile phones, because it is easy to carry, all facilities are available like WiFi, Bluetooth,camera, Gprs etc. It brings new style to the new generation. Now it became the most essential thing of day today life.
